We’ve had a lot of you ask us for sample reports from our Feedback Loop Reports (FBL Reports) service, so that you can see what the reports look like. In a nutshell, our FBL Reports service monitors all of your feedback loops, so that you don’t have to, and compiles them into an easy-to-read, plain English report for you each day. Here are the sample reports.

Our FBL Reports customers get two reports every day. The first is the daily report that tells them how many complaints they got at each ISP along with a great deal of information about the nature of the email that got the complaints, as well as who was doing the complaining (where possible). The second report is a rolling 30 day report, which shows the total number of complaints at each ISP for the previous 30 days; this is really useful for tracking trends in your spam complaints and in how spammy your email is looking.

Here is an example of a daily report (the sample 30 day rolling report is below it). This is a very simple example, to give you the general idea:

Here is today’s FBL Report! Your report includes the following information:

– How many complaints you received for the day, broken down by ISP
– The number of complaints broken down by subject
– The number of complaints per “From” address
– The number of complaints per IP address
– The unique ID of each email which generated a complaint (this should be the unique ID you have assigned which allows you to track who complained, so that you can remove them from your mailing list)
– Where possible, the email addresses of those who complained so, again, you can remove them from your mailing list

Note that the “complaints per “From:” address” and the “complaints by IP address” are especially useful to Email Service Providers (ESPs) for quickly seeing at a glance who their problem customers are.
